More about our pearls: born in the vibrant blue waters of the Kimberley, Australian South Sea Pearls are exceptionally rare and beautiful. Cultured from the wild Pinctada maxima oyster and hand-collected by divers operating on strict quotas and environmental regulations. Raising the bar in sustainability even further, the pearl farms we work with have a strong focus on hatchery grown oysters to lessen the burden on wild shell stocks. In a world-first, the Australian pearling industry has been certified as the most sustainable and environmentally responsible by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). MSC is the world’s leading non-profit organisation dedicated to sustainable and environmentally responsible use of wild marine resources.
